Caldwell Alt students volunteer to be bell ringers for the Salvation Army.

Caldwell Alternative students used their outgoing personalities to interact with holiday shoppers as Salvation Army Bell Ringers! It is a simple job but a really important one. The Fitchburg Salvation Army needs 2,000 Bell Ringers to make their Red Kettle campaign a success. Every year, the Salvation Army helps families right here in North Central Massachusetts to have some food and a few gifts for the Holidays. Without the help of volunteers, many families will not get the much needed assistance. Caldwell Alternative students volunteered for two bell ringing shifts this year, one at Market Basket on John Fitch Highway in Fitchburg and another shift at Shaws in Leominster. This activity was the second community service project that the students took on this year.
