The Caldwell Alternative School provides an
alternative educational experience for students
grades 7-12.  The program seeks to foster
academic growth, social responsibility, and
emotional health, so students may successfully
graduate or return to their public school systems.

Students with developmental delays and cognitive challenges are served in 3 distinct classrooms and a workshop located in Ayer and Fitchburg.  Intensive communication, socialization, behavioral, and academic services are designed to enhance the acquisition of  functional academics, activities of daily living, and employment skills. 
The 7 classrooms of the PDD/Autism Program
provide intensive communication development, readiness and academic skills training, and behavioral services to students with developmental delays,
Pervasive Developmental Disorder, or Autism.
Students range in age from 5-22.

The 45 Day Alternate Education Program, located in Fitchburg, is designed to meet the academic needs of students requiring short term placement and diagnostic testing.
